Fran Pavley received an overwhelming 66% of the Democratic vote in the 23rd State Senate District primary race. Although she will still will face opponents in the general election in November, this was the race to win!

Nearly 1 million people live within the 23rd Senate District, which includes portions of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. All or most of the communities of Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Topanga, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Bel Aire, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, West Hills, Canoga Park, Chatsworth are within the district.
